Quilts of Valor & "Our Family Quilt"

Good Wednesday morning to you!!

We had some rain and snow last night - so there is quite a bit of Happy Dancin' around here!! We need the moisture!

And along with the rain/snow - its always good to curl up on the couch with a good book!!  My new Friend Rhonda Cratty has written a book called "Our Family Quilt"  . It is a fun story about a Grandmother, and her Granddaughter and their adventures in quilting.

PLUS!!! It takes place in Colorado - which you may all know, I sort of love this state.

I have really enjoyed reading it and watching the quilting weave its way through the story - I need about 2 more days of snow/rain to finish it!!

If you would like to check out "Our Family Quilt"   - click on this link (It's an Amazon link) -

And now....

A little Quilty Inspiration for you in the form of some GORGEOUS Quilts of Valor!!!

This yummy scrappy blues quilt was pieced by Gypsy Quilter  and quilted by Margaret R

And this was one peiced by Diane F
and quilted by Margaret!

And these two - they were awesome
and sort of surprised - the Veteran on the Right said
he had some salt water left over from his sub days - in his eye ;-)
Too cute!!

This yummy Quilt was made by the Dee-Gee's

And this one - each star was made by someone, and Joan pieced it and Quilted it!
She is multi talented that way!!

This beauty was made byu Deb and Quilted by Connie
( I keep trying to keep up with Connie, I think I have proved that it can't be done!)

These next two were made by Marcia and Krystal
I love all the scrappy goodness in them!!!

All right my quilter friends....
Go Forth and Quilt!!!

The quilt top pieced by Gypsy Quilter is a beautiful blend of blues! I could just keep looking at it and not stop! Great job!

  3. Down here, along the southern edge of Colorado, we've been getting some rain over the last week (finally!) .. and this morning - some snow! Our mountain has more now than it did all "winter". What a great day to bury myself in the sewing room :-)

  8. Popped over from Let's Bee Social. I was really drawn to the pic in your thumbnail. Very pretty, and all these quilts of valor are fantastic. I have done a couple myself, and have even used one of the patterns you showed. So nice to see.
