RED!!
As you all know - I don't have a scrap of red around here
Okay! Pick yourselves up and stop laughing!!
I dig inot my 5 inch squares to see what I could see.
Do you know how hard it is ( for me) to see red all alone?
I think I only see it in Red White and Blue -
so I can't promise how this scrappy month will go.....
Here is my start!
The dashes are those funky fabrics that read red, but you really don't know what they should be?

ReplyDeleteYou are not the only one that thinks that way with red. I see it as patriotic and Christmas. But not so much with my brights! So you are off to a good start-beginnings of a new quilt?
ReplyDeleteAlycia- it's really not fair to post pictures of beautiful quilt blocks and muffins at the same time---bahaha. The churn dash on the right with its different colored rectangles is very interesting. I'm thinking an entire quite using that color placement may be a great QOV. One more to add to my list! Thanks for inspiring me.

Your blocks look pretty big too! I love churn dash blocks, no matter how large or how small.
ReplyDeleteVERY funky start to the RED block production!! I'm right there with you on the scrap stash. It's difficult to find any RED without white and blue included!!
ReplyDeleteRed with a blue accent should be allowed if it isn't. Very fun blocks. I really like how the strips in the flag works in that block on the left.

ReplyDeleteYour patriotic churn dash blocks are a great way to start the month. Wish I had more red than I knew what to do with. It's not that I don't have red, I just don't like what I have. I'll just have to use it up and get what I like.
ReplyDeleteYour patriotic churn dahs blocks are great. I want to make a QOV quilt but I don't really have enough decent reds yet, too wonky or modern. You are of to a good start this month. Can't wait to see more.
