My son and I had a fun time photographing this one.
Our neighbor let us use his tractor - and if you look close - you can see fingers ;-)
Plaids are my favorite - surprise
And I used some of the extras for the back
I did Spiral quilting all over it
And now - it is even bound and ready to snuggle in!
I know a few of you were worried last time that my kids might not have any shirts to wear -
No worries - I just bought them a few more today -
and in 6 months I will steal them back for my quilts! I am nice that way !!
Head over to Amy's Creative Side to the Bloggers QUilt festival and have a Quilt show!
Needle Turn Thursday
What a beautiful plaid quilt, more on the feminine side! And love it photographed on the tractor!

ReplyDeletegreat quilt and fun photos - thanks for sharing
ReplyDeleteIs one of the criteria for a new shirt that it be a good plaid for a quilt? Just askin'......
ReplyDeleteI love this quilt, Alycia. I love the plaids you chose, the solid aqua/green, and the simplicity of the pattern. I keep telling myself that a quilt doesn't have to have a complicated pattern to be beautiful -- and this quilt proves it! It's fun that you photographed the quilt on a tractor.

I love plaids and you have some lovely fabrics. I agree with Paige, the tractor makes a wonderful background for your quilt pics.
ReplyDeleteHow creative! That's a great way to display your handi work. Beautiful quilt.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great quilt and photos too!
ReplyDeleteSo pretty, and I also love plaids. The spiral quilting is very pretty. That tractor makes a great photo backdrop. Blogger's Quilt Festival really is a lot of fun. Already following you on Bloglovin', and really enjoy your blog.
ReplyDeleteSo fun. I just love the plaids!
ReplyDeleteLovely finish! I love that you didn't use white for the solid - thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteLovely and comfy looking and just in time for the weather change. their shirts served a greater purpose, lol. Nice job photographing the extra large quilt, guys.
ReplyDeleteI love the green, blue, red color combination. Plaid always makes me think of flannel. Like a flannel shirt this quilt makes me think of cooler days and snuggle up with a book and a quilt for a nice quiet afternoon.
ReplyDeleteLOL, I love your plan for pre-emptory shirt recycling Alycia. A wonderfully fun quilt and the tractor backdrop is perfect!
