My word for the year is Adventure! And I actually started working on that earlier this year when I decided to join in on the Adventure that is a Bonnie Hunter Mystery. You never know what is in the brain of that amazing quilter - and I always ALWAYS learn something when following along with her mystery!! So I am glad I jumped in on that adventure this year -
I am not as far as I thought I would be, but I am alot farther along than I usually am - so Happy Medium - I'm good with it!!
This is where I was on New Years Eve.... I was stitching to beat the last clue - that I thought was going to come out Friday. I took a little break to look at FB and BAM!!! The clue had already been posted!!!
So Of Course I had to stop and lay one block out
Oh My - I sort of Love it!!!!
And then the boys wanted food! Seriously people!! Food !! At a time like this!
So we made our New Years eve fare ( a smorgasbord of stuff)
and I got back to stitching Clue 5
Here is what I have done as of 7 am this morning!!
I have lots of the blocks in thirds - so I am hoping after today's work
I will be golden and stitching to the finish!
I might have seen a Deer - or maybe he saw me
Either way - I took the photo of him!

ReplyDeleteOh yes! It is coming along so nicely. I sure like your fabric choices! Get stitching so we can all oooh and awww over it!
ReplyDeleteComing along nicely! Great word choice too!
ReplyDeleteSeriously LOVE!! Had you known what the quilt was going to look like, I don't think you could have picked better fabrics! It is going to be amazing and congrats on getting so far into the process - I'd still trying to talk myself into trimming HSTs!! LOL Cannot wait to see this one all sewn up!
ReplyDeleteI really love all your plaids The blocks are just perfect. Looking forward to seeing the finish. Isn't this the best design, I love it.
ReplyDeleteGreat progress. I am always sad to miss a mystery, but seeing all the different versions coming together is fun too.
ReplyDeleteYep, I have to agree...love your blocks! those plaids get me every week! can't resist them.
ReplyDeleteI've been watching from the sidelines for this year's mystery. I really like the design!
ReplyDeleteMarvelous with the plaids!
ReplyDeleteWho would want food in the middle of a mystery sewing marathon?!?! In spite of that, it looks like you made a lot of good progress. :) Thanks for sharing on MCM!
ReplyDeleteThe plaids worked out beautifully. The plaids give the blocks an antique feel, like they are already good for cuddling under. Hope you've made lots of progress towards a finished flimsy.
ReplyDeleteIt's a great block, and your colors worked perfectly! I really am thinking a lot about my plaids lately, so this is extra tempting.
