Orca Bay

My goal is to have this quilt finished before the end of the month......could someone please STOP the month!! It is going WAY to fast!!!

Here is where we are.....

I ran out of the trianglly things , and I was too lazy to make more ( or starting to see the finish made me want to just be done!!

And now!! The top is finished!!
Ta da






Its on to the back now ( sigh) 
If only backings would fall from heaven!

Here is my new gang!!
Someday they will trust me to wear leather like them
( they are SO cool!!)

  2. I LOVE the way you improvised!!! Don't think I ever would've thought to do that!! I have some blocks for you--trying to decide if I'll do more or just send the few I made. You never stop!!!

  4. Love your version of Orca Bay! Those borders are really fun, that's a great way to finish it off. I just finished one of Bonnie's mystery quilts. They are fun to make, but even making 2/3 of the blocks, it was still a huge quilt.

  8. I always knew you were a biker chic at heart! WAY to GO on Orca Bay! You can do it! You can do it! Just imagine me with pom poms doing a cartwheel......well, maybe not.........but, you still CAN DO IT!

  9. I think it looks great. Backings are my LEAST favorite part of the process. I like sewing my label into the quilt but then it's another step. But - as usual when things take a bit longer - I love the finished product and it's always worth it. Keep going - the end is in sight!

  10. I love the way you did the border...good thing you ran out of the thingies. Maybe you could have your gang help with the back...ha,ha. (I know I wouldn't let my gang help me.) They do look great though. L

  13. Your Orca is Gorgeous! Love it...you did more of the border than I did!!! I slapped on a plain border & called it a day..I always am burned out at border time...Love Kevin's comment!!
