That is sort of how I have been feeling about getting caught up on my RSC blocks - that I really HAD to do March's first - before I Could start April.
I then I had this epiphany.... If I just jump in where we are supposed to be, I won't feel *behind* as I will have done the current color, and I can work on the one I missed at any time. AND - I will feel like part of the crowd!!!
SO!!!
I jumped in - ironed all my purple scraps and looky what I got all cut up and prepared for the next time I sit down at the machine!
PS.... You are IGNORING that yellow pile.... it is waiting for me ;-)
Still working on 30s fabric huh?
ReplyDeleteYou are so right. Anything to take away the g from guilt to turn it into the a q for quilt. Although, I do believe the yellow is beginning to have a complex .

What yellow pile? :) Purple is my favorite! I'd skip to purple too :)
ReplyDeleteGood idea! I like how you think. Love your prints : )
ReplyDeleteI like your thinking.
ReplyDeleteGreat plan!
ReplyDeleteWisdom! Love the pile of purples. I never noticed how lovely the purple 30s fabrics are. Thanks for sharing the photo.

Yes, jump right in...it's all good. I just love 30s but not getting very far on my bin bust! Yellow????
ReplyDeletePrepping for future sewing is an AWESOME thing to do when there's not enough time or energy to sit and sew. Now you're ready for next time...whenever next time is!!! :o))
ReplyDeleteSometimes you just have to start where you are supposed to be and work back when there is extra time. That way I think you feel less stress and everything will get done. Cutting those strips was a job well done. Hope you find time to start stitching.
ReplyDeleteStarting with now and working backwards sounds like a great plan to me. Have fun with the purples. Those yellows will still be there when you are done.
ReplyDeleteWhat yellow pile - didn't see anything but purple in the picture =). Enjoy sewing with the purple this month.
ReplyDeleteIsn't it funny how we can set on something without even thinking about it? Those 30's fabrics are so pretty!
ReplyDeleteDo what makes you happy . . . if you want to sew purple, then sew purple. If you want to grab a magazine at random, the do it.
ReplyDeleteHappy stitching (and reading).
