Quilts of Valor 2015

This last Saturday was the National Quilts of Valor Sew in - I hope you all had a chance to quilt, or hang out with a sewing group. There was a LOT going on!!!

This is a QOV with the Hearth and Home blocks- The University of Northern Colorado Softball players assembled the top. I quilted it.

You can;t really see the quilting - but there are motorcycles on it.  For a reason.... We know the Veteran that it will go to.....

This Quilt was pieced by Carolyn  - again I quilted it. It is such a neat quilt!!

Here is a close up of the quilting.

This is a Quilt made from the Modern Quilt of Valor Blocks from Machine Quilting Exposition

Janet Lee and Candace do such a fantastic job getting everyone involved. Little Bit and I designed a pieced this one. The blocks were such fun.   I quilted it.

This next Quilt was made by Peg B.  Isn't it the coolest?  I love the design.  I did the Quilting.

Here's a little Close up of the quilting.

Now to the Arapahoe County Quilters.... They had a sew day and holeee cow!! They got a ton done!

All four of the next quilts were made by them!

I have decided ( after asking my Facebook group) that this quilt is one of the Hobo Quilts.
Where they symbols tell them what is happening in the house?
The Triangle with his hands up... someone said that meant the owner had a gun.

And now on to the smile portion of our show ;-)
I love that these veterans had family members be there with them.

Enjoy your day!!! Stitch a lot !

  2. This is so wonderful, all the work you do for QoV! I still hope one day to finish a Quilt for Valor! I've been collecting red, white and blue fabrics for years specifically to do that!
