Rocky Mountains

We headed up to the mountains to see what we could see. I have my heart set on a Moose.... but the Moose don't seem to have their heart set on me..... *sigh*

I see a few more trips in my future.

Here is what I did find:

We were up SO high , we looked down on the birds!

This little guy was out. Of course, I hollered - MOOSE to make everyone stop.
He is not a moose.... but I liked him anyways!

And then we came around the corner and I saw this and I yelled MOOSE to make everyone stop.
He is not a moose either - but boy was he awesome.
He had a whole herd of his own!

And because I called him a moose.....
he yelled at me.....

The end.

Wonderful pics! Gulp....did you use zoom lenses? The animals are beautiful creatures.

Haha! I love it! You are so brave. I have always been fearful of animals larger than myself. Since I am only 5" 2", that is a lot of animals!

  3. Beautiful pictures, is that big guy an elk or just a big buck?

  4. Alycia, I'm LMBO over you yelling "MOOSE!" like that and then the Elk yelling back. When my daughter was a tot, she would pretend to drive a couch car and yell "Get out of the road. Moose!" if you crossed over in front of her.

  5. I've been trying to see a moose since 1998! DS #1 did a fifth year of high school in Maine - went to all of his lacrosse games. No moose sightings. DS #2 did the same thing. No moose. DS #2 then went to University of Vermont for 4 years. Went to all of his lacrosse games. No moose. Since then we've been to Yellowstone in 2007, Alaska in 2010, Glacier National Park in 2013, and Aspen in 2014. The whole family knew "Mom wants to see a moose!". Nope, the search continues. DS#2 did total his car hitting a buffalo but that's another story.
    Your pictures are awesome!
