You may remember - Machine Quilters Exposition did a block drive for their Quilt show.... and I decided to have some fun playing with the Modern Blocks.
We (I always make the boys help.... it's in exchange for food lol) spent a lot of time playing with these blocks, trying to find a fun way to put them together. Then I found this Blue in my stash, and we went back to the drawing board.
This is what we came up with.
And then we went to the fair, and we kept running in and out of the mud room.
Disadvantage Number 1 of having a design wall near a door:
Yep - it all fell down, and one of them tried to put a few blocks up..... the failed *giggle*
I had pictures, so we got it layed back out - and then put borders around it - and Ta Da!!!
This is our finished top!!

Wow! Another really neat design idea for the backburner in my brain....
ReplyDeleteLove the blue inset triangles. They really set off those blocks perfectly. Wonderful finish!
ReplyDeleteLove that they "work" for food. LOL

I had to laugh at your wind brushed design wall. Mine looks like that if I turn on the ceiling fan.
ReplyDeleteLove the quilt, that blue background fabric really makes the blocks sing. Beautifully done.
Looks great - love the borders.
