This first one is a twister - it was made by Connie and Kathy - and Quilted by a Different Connie! And no, it is not bound - it is back at the original Connies to be bound ;-) I love when other want to do that part!!
This is a mystery Quilt - it came from Stephanie in Windsor - but there was no name or label. I should take credit for it huh?? Just kidding.....
This one came from Joan - she is in my quilt guild, and comes to almost every QOV sew day we have. Although she abandoned us last week for her family... go figure ( tee hee) Thanks Joan!! By the way - she pieced and quilted this one!!
This colorful quilt is from Lydia P - She sent it to me a while ago to be quilted, and I sent it on to Gillie to quilt it! I love all the wonderful quilters we have helping to get Quilts of Valor to our soldiers.
This one was made by my mom. She did a great job. It was quilted by Liz in Broomfield
She used grapes and leaves to quilt it - click on the picture - I hope you can see it close up!
Next this quilt was made by Connie and Kathy - they used the Moda Signature blocks for the centers - it was also quilted by Liz
Next up we have a quilt made by the Miracles group in Denver. This is a rehab group and my friend Jess teaches the quilting - they do a fabulous job!!
It was quilted by Miriam M - Miriam's Mom is a Long arm quilter, and Miriam always wanted to try it. So she did - and she decided it was not as easy as it looks - but she did a wonderful job on it!!! Thanks Miriam!!
Mary made and quilted this next one. Mary is a riot!! She has no off button!!
Don't you love this quilt???
This lovely colorful quilt was made by Glendine in St Croix!! It was quilted by Michelle in Greeley.
I LOVE the colors in this quilt - I love the layout and have added it to my bucket list!
Another beauty made with the Moda Star Blocks by Connie and Kathy. I don't know if you have noticed but they make a TON of quilts!! They are Totally Amazing!!! Quilted by Michelle in Greeley
Our last beauty for the day - made by Carolyn R in St Croix and quilted by Michelle
It reminds me of a box of crayons - all the different colors shouting out, but still in there correct places !!
Hope you enjoyed seeing all these Quilts of Valor!! I get asked a lot about them - so I thought I would fill you in a little.
All of these quilts, when finished ( Bound, Labeled, washed, and Pillowcased) head to our military. They are taken to the Warriors in Transition Battalion in Colorado, to the Various VA's - we have a PTSD program, and a few other programs that heal our wounded warriors, and to an Equine Therapy Program.
This is just here in Colorado - but there are many other locations where military is treated. Just wanted you to know where these go in the shows that I do.
