There is a fire growing in Northern Colorado. This is like the 4th major fire already this year - its crazy... but the smoke and sunsets - wow...
My dad is not on this fire. I think I am pretty glad about that - he worked pretty hard on the Stuart Hole fire, and the Haymen fire... he was already worn out!! Plus its a type 1 incident that moves it out of the hands of the smaller fire departments....
PS - we are totally safe - it is about 60 miles to the west of me, and 20 miles from my parents ...its just *that* big
Gorgeous pictures! You and your entire family stay safe!!
ReplyDeleteWow, those are spectacular photos! Glad you are all safe.
ReplyDeleteIt is very dry in northern Wyo too, and we are worried about fires this summer
ReplyDeleteWhoops, hit send too soon. I also meant to say "stay safe!"
ReplyDeleteBeautiful and awesome photos...you have a great ability to take such stunning pics.
ReplyDeleteMy heart goes out to the families who have been directly affected by the fire.
Amazing photos from such a terrifying event. I heard about the fire on the news; glad you have some cushion of space away from it.
ReplyDeleteI have posted a few sky photos on my blog this year, but I have not actually seen sky that was affected like this since I started taking the time to appreciate the view. Thank you for sharing, and stay safe.
ReplyDeleteI was out in Colorado the year the big fires hit almost all of Yellowstone National Park. I remember those sunsets and skies being some of the most gorgeous I had ever seen. Praying you all stay safe!
