Being Brave

So... I am going to put this out there and you have to be nice... I talk with my hands apparently, and I squint a lot - apparently , and apparently I bungle words, and forget words..... but you all love me right?  ( you do, or I am going to haunt you forever!!)

This video was taken at a vet presentation. Marilyn and Nancy had made and quilted probably 20 of the 30 QOV's we presented - isn't that amazing. I was so tickled that they were able to see them presented!

Here you go   the video was taken by a veteran - Jerry *Goose* G - he is my new best friend as he knew all sorts of stuff about my camera that I didn't know could exist!!

  1. Thank you so much for being brave and sharing this...it was so nice to see how all the guys get wrapped up in their quilts. One was more beautiful than the next! I am going to get started on another QOV! Thanks for extra motivation!

  2. My public speaking is just the same. I can't keep my hands still and I talk way too fast! You did great and it was fun to watch the vets receiving their quilts.

Marilyn and Nancy must be so thrilled to see their quilts wrapped around the veterans' shoulders! What a special opportunity! Heartwarming to see the guys' smiles as they displayed their quilts. You did just fine, Alycia!

  7. Thank you so much for sharing the special day of presenting the vets with their quilts. It is obvious they are touched and love them and love being recognized. I loved seeing them wrapped in their quilts.

  9. This was great to see. choked me up & made me laugh at the same time. I'm behind on my 12 for 2012 because of a continuous headache that turns into a migraine several times a week but that was pure incentive to get 'er done!

  13. I bet if we gathered all of us who talk with our hands, squint, or forget words, we could fill up the state of Oklahoma. Or at the very least Rhode Island. So you're not alone. The best news is that more veterans were recipients of our quilts. . . and that's the most wonderful thing of all.

  14. You mean we're not supposed to talk with our hands? I must have missed that memo. I once bid on a horse at the sale barn without meaning to. I was talking to a friend and explaining about the time the roof blew off of our house. How do you tell that story without your hands? Oops. You did a beautiful job! It's nice to see a presentation virtually since I'm so far from one. So thankful for all you do!
