Quilters Accountability 11-17-10

I had fun this week. I did get a few things done... but it was fun!

Last weeks goals:
  1. Fall Foliage Quilt - The top is done, the backing is put together, and it should not be called a Fall Foliage quilt any more because it is pretty bright - http://alyciaquilts.blogspot.com/2010/11/winner-and-backings.html   Its the orangy one!
  2. Blocks finished for friends Quilt    - Done! And we super impressed ourselves, because it is now a top, awaiting a border!!!
  3.
  4. Quilt Veterans Rail  RWB Quilt   Done! And now it goes into the tub for the binding buddies unless I drink too many margaritas at  Thanksgiving and go crazy and bind something......
And then just to be honery - I finished up this string quilt. The blocks are from a lot of Quilt shows, and at one sew day Sharon started to put it together, then her sone came home from Iraq, and she thought that was a good excuse to miss a sew day. Priorities right *giggle*

This wonky log cabin QOV got quilted too.
I made it so long ago *eye roll* That when I pulled it out to quilt I wondered who had made it, as I didn't have a note pinned to it. Then I thought - well *oh my* I think I might have made that..... and lo and behold - I did!
And when it snowed, I sewed.... and finished 7 more Betty Blocks!

And now - I think it is time to end this post......

If you want to see what others are up to - head over to Bari's blog.

I have no goals for next week, as I will have kids and a husband home for most of it....

So one row was unsewn and I did that and put it on - its the row on the bottom of the picture.

  1. The wonky log cabin top is marvelous. Scrappy enough to be fun and colorful.

  3. I am so glad you decided to use that orange fabric for the "Fall Foliage" quilt -- it was the perfect backing for it (and from the description of the recipient, for her too).

Once again you've filled the QOV coffers and are inspiring us all (o.k., me) to get a move on!

And nothing like a few finishes to make you what? Rest? No, sew more blocks! Let the spirit continue to move you!

Busy and productive week! Way to go! Your Veteran's Rail Fence looks awesome as does the scrappy string quilt.

I had to laugh about the wonkey log cabin - sounds like something I would do, and it is gorgeous! Someone will sure appreciate it.

    Betty is looking good too!

Have a fun week with every one home...I have everyone home Wednesday on, but DH just gave me the okay to go sew with some girlriends on Friday! Woo hoo! I am thinking my QOV needs some borders....
