Thank you from a WWII vet

Dear Quilters:
I was trained in the Army Infantry. I was drafted into the Army. I was 18 years old. I started out at Ft Knox, Kentucky, I guarded the gold.
*
I am from a family of 10 children, 6 boys and 4 girls.
*
Four boys served in the Korean War and WWII. One of my brothers was wounded when his aircraft carrier was sunk.
*
I taught school in Colorado after my service, 5th grade was my favorite. And as a student in LaSalle - I had perfect attendance for 9 years.
*
The Quilt of Valor is priceless. We have the quilt displayed on our curved stair case. The colors are gorgeous, and I am SO proud of this gift.
*
Thank you for your kindness and lovely thoughts.
* Sincerely B.K.

  3. This is a very good lesson about writing notes to thank who ever did some kindness for us. It's touching, isn't it? Wish we had a photo. 8-)))
