We got invited to a showcase for our Mounted Shooting. It was super cool, and SO MUCH Fun!!!. They had Riders of all levels and in all places in their training of horses. We ran in front of a rather large crowd - and had a blast!!
The most fun part was all the people who wanted to come down and ask questions, learn about the sport, and a few even asked how to join in.
And of course - you have to see the sunrises out here - When we get up early these days We are up before the sun - so what a treat to get to see the sun come up with these colors.!!
This is me trying to get three horses to the arena. They are the best and do very well, but the camera coming up - made them wonder what was happening. The one on the left is the newest *under training* horse. He is about 9 and he has been with us for a year. And I love him!!!
Sunset from the garden - or the weeds...
Somehow the weeds have taken over faster than we can keep up this year.
( so don't notice that part okay??)
This(below) is from the last weekend - our Club hosted a Competition - and it we had an auction and a fundraiser to raise funds for a Breast Cancer Support Center in the North Denver area. Three of our Members had actually used their services while they were fighting Breast Cancer. So it was pretty cool to give back.We do three runs - and the horses are pretty good for rund 1 and 2, but then they get hungry - so they need a snack!!
It is a fun one - we all wear Pink. So the photos are pretty fun to see all the colors of Pink out there.
Thanks for cowboying around with me 🤠

Love all your pictures. That sunrise was gorgeous!! Saw the Blind Badger Ranch sign in your showcase pictures which cracks me up, lol.
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun showcase! I hope there was a lot raised for breast cancer!
ReplyDeleteI definitely need to go to one of the mounted shooting events. It looks like so much fun. I googled and there’s one close to me in the middle of November.
ReplyDeleteThat all looks like fun! When my husband and I used to shoot, we would go to those kinds of competitions, and they were fun to watch. Can't beat the camaraderie. That sunset with mountains - heaven!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous sunrise and sunset photos, Alycia! Glad to hear that you had fun "cowboying around." :o))
ReplyDeleteOh gosh, that looks fun!
ReplyDeletelooks like a good time was had by all....
ReplyDeleteLooks like you have been having lots of fun. Wonderful photos.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous sunrise! All the horse stuff sounds fun, but tiring. How you keep up with stitching time after a weekend of all that fun is pretty amazing.
ReplyDeleteAwesome pictures from a fun event. I married into a "horsey" family. My father-in-law broke and trained horses and that gene has obviously been passed down as our great-niece is on the equestrian team at West Texas A & M. My husband's dress shoes are still cowboy boots. LOL
