A Chunky Churn Top and!! Finished (or not) Friday!!

For my Rainbow Scrap Challenge this year - I made Chunky Churn Dashes ( Pattern found at Quiltville.com)  And I Really had fun digging thru scraps for it - One of the pieces is only 1 1/2 x 2 1/2 inches - so I Was able to really use the small ones too!!

I know that October is Neutrals and November is Dark ( I think)  So I skipped ahead and used my Whites and Blacks to make the hourglass blocks.

But then I had it on the design wall - and I just couldn't stop!!

Ta da!!! And of course - the girls!! they wanted in on the challenge. They might have been the reason I couldn't stop - their waggy tails sometimes rearrange my Design wall - and I had the colors just the way I wanted them to be....

I had to keep going right????

I also made this one back in March ( maybe)

And surprisingly I still have a few blocks left - but I have moved on to my Stars and will have to get back to the Chunkies in a minute or two.

And now !! It is YOUR Turn - what happened in your week?  What tripped your trigger, made you buy that fabric? Dig into that pattern?

Show us What you Finished ( or didn't)

Please use the direct link to your blog - I won't be able to get to the posts until Sunday night and I don't want to miss a thing  ( QOV Sew day is happening!)

  1. I like the b/w hourglass alternate blocks….they really show off the colors. And of course you had to sew them together before any dog re-arrangement happened!

  11. Congrats on a very fun and colorful quilt top. The girls are looking good. They way the are posing makes me think of all the boy band album covers from the 60's and 70's. Have a great weekend.
