We took a little trip to my in-laws place. We had a funeral to go to, and then to catch up with some of K's ( and now mine) Friends.
I love Wide Open Spaces... and we got to see a lot.
a Train - but to be specific - a Train of Engines. I haven't seen that ( that I can remember) for a while. At least not more that two engines... So I thought it was cool.
and Goats - Goats playing King of the Hill....
One of the Ranches we drive through has a HUGE String of Bucking horses. These horses are used in the Rodeos - but to see them on the range... you would have no idea they like to buck off their riders ;-)
And a Deer!
i think we shocked him - he was so close!!
I also got to meet Dolly and Gene Roy. You can't tell from the angle of the photo - but Gene Roy ( on the right) is taller than Me.,.... I am 5'10" - that is one Big pet!!
Find me at all these places:

Beautiful country side photos!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful scenes. Is it in CO? I've never heard of horses that are actually classified as "bucking" - lol! I've been following a train on Facebook - the Union Pacific Big Boy No. 4014 - so I'm always up for a photo of a train - love them!
ReplyDeleteWhat awesome sights. . A train of engines! Gene Roy is a huge pet! Thanks for sharing your visit with us.
ReplyDeleteThat looks a lot like western South Dakota, but could be anywhere in the northern Plains I guess. The string of rodeo horses definitely made me think Sutton Ranch in SD. LOL
ReplyDeleteI love the photos of the train engines! We travels to NY to see the Big Boy scream engine o
ReplyDeleteOops, published too soon as I was attempting to correct scream to steam! We same the Big Boy steam engine on it’s 250th national tour. 🙂
ReplyDeleteVery cool photos. I like the one of all the engines going down the track.
ReplyDeletebeautiful sites
ReplyDeleteI love to see the animals roaming free in paddocks, I've always been a horse fan from way back when the local farmer (in the UK) way back early 1950's delivered milk to households by horse and cart and I was lucky enough to be allowed to go along with him! I would be in charge of the reins and keeping the horse steady while he ladled fresh milk from the churn into the jug left on the home doorstep!
