We are in a pretty severe drought right now, so we aren't letting too many animals out into the pastures - we rotate pastures a LOT so that there is a chance for growth of the grass. Can you see the little bit of green there is?
It is good for the horses to get out and get some roaming in tho!
We had another event - I could either get the horses to look at the camera , or the humans... I got a human to wave so that is the photo I chose! Hello from the Humans!!
It was a fun competition. I got 29 of the 30 targets. The target I missed... I am sure - SO SURE - that it moved on purpose and laughed at me ( it is a balloon )
I took a moment to organize my random scraps - doesn't this look pretty? I see lots of blocks in those scraps!
I sorted by color - that is it... but!
Its a start right?
We took Steers into the processors this week too. That always takes a moment or two. And its funny to watch them go into the trailer, they sniff and they are big!!
See you Friday - for Finished ( or not) Friday!!
Find me at all these places:

Tired puppies are good puppies! I'm sure they had a great time investigating while you cleared areas! I sort my scraps that way too. It is amazing how quickly some bags fill!
ReplyDeleteI only had two horses when we lived in Colorado (but only had 7 or so acres of pasture) but even then we had to juggle time on/off the grass. Your dogs are funny! Our girls had the same sort of day, they were conked out last night, too!
ReplyDeleteWow! 29 of 30 is pretty skilled!! Bet it was fun too. Those worn out pups made me smile. They're like little kids, and look so cute sleeping in their hammocks.
ReplyDeleteI like your "randoms". That view, even if drought-stricken, is so beautiful. I sure like the puppies hammocks! Congrats on your targets - I'm impressed.
ReplyDeleteLove the picture of the pups sleeping on the cots! Alycia you are such a badass! 29/30! Wow!
ReplyDeletethere is drought over so much of the country - almost all of Arkansas is in a drought - us too. I will need to water the garden this year we need rain bad and I can see you do too for the grazing land
ReplyDeleteI love the photo of the pups on their cots! lol
ReplyDeleteSounds like you've been really busy. Loved the photo of the tired out puppies, they are so cute when they are sleepy (like when we had little ones). The Dinosaur quilt is really fun. It's the best when our kids like what we make them.
ReplyDeleteI hope you got a nap with the dogs too!
