Jan/Feb RSC and !! Finished!! or not ! Friday

 Happy Friday!!!

My Jan/Feb RSC quilt got some attention this week!! I had all the blocks made, I had it all pinned and ready to row... I ... Just.... Needed.... Time...

and I found that time!

It is now a top - and one less thing that Doggy Tails can wag off the table 😝

The lighting is not the best - but that's okay - when I get it quilted it will get its time in the sun!
After I had all the blocks made I saw this quilt there the values went from light to dark and so I wanted to try that on this one - I think you have to plan it a little better to actually make that happen - but! It was fun to try.

How was your week?  I am still catching up with last weeks posts - we were a busy group - but I love seeing what all has been made ;
Did you see all the cute *99 charms* that Grace and Peace Quilting has made! love them!

Also - I am cleaning out File Cabinets - can you see any reason to keep a planning calendar from 2014?  Just curious - do you have calendars that old?

Link up your DIRECT Post - not just the blog ;-)

  1. That is a pretty quilt. Haha about the doggy tails. In my house it's the kitties. I'm linking up a week old post - it is the first one I've had in awhile!

  3. The way you played with lights and darks in this quilt is really fun, Alycia! I see the flow, like sunshine and shadows. Happy Friday!

  5. Great quilt, I love the blue and green together! Good luck with the clean out. I used to keep old quilt calendars that had patterns in them. Now I just keep the patterns if I think I might make them.

  7. What a fun flimsy! That is going to sure sign when it is quilted and bound! Cleaning cabinets isn't fun so I hope that task will soon be behind you and that wagging doggy tails will find other treasures.

  11. Very nice top, and I know what you mean about catching up. I am weeks behind on blogs but doing what I can to get back to replying! Meanwhile, I really like this top and am glad the doggie tails won't be knocking it off the table!

  12. The only old calendars I have are ones I’ve kept because of the pictures!

  13. Hi Alycia, your quilt looks great! I keep old calendars for the photos....not for the info on them :-)

  14. What a fun flimsy! Love the colors, beautiful. Not only doggy tails.... when the cat decides to 'kill' laid out 2" squares!!! The last days I've been going through papers (shredding), and yes, I found a couple of old calendars. I can't remember the years, but not as old as 2014! lol

  15. The RSC quilt top is really fun. So many fun blues and greens. The only old calendars I keep are our photo calendars. I make photo calendars for us each year and those we keep. My Guy has also had some photos published in other calendars, so I keep those. It is hard deciding what to keep and what not to. I've been decluttering, but I started with the big stuff. It's not going to be fun when I get to my file cabinets. Good luck!

  17. I have sweet memories of dogs disrupting my quilting...with tails, or simply 'helping' me lay quilts out on the floor. They would always let me know if the colors of my quilt were becoming to their coats!

  18. What a fun block. I detect some secondary patterns with the layout.
