JR18 & HHS3 Finish!! and!! Finished ( or not) Friday!!

Happy Friday!!  Did you make it thru the week?

It was the first week Post Holidays!!! Did you get back into your routine? I think I might have? Maybe?

I did get this one all finished!!

It does Need another name tho - the Jelly Roll 18, Happy Half Square 3 is way too long to say!

If you don't remember - I followed a Link down a Rabbit hole, and then I decided we were going to make these blocks for our QOV Sew Day - I mean - why not enlist 30 others to help make the blocks.... and then we had to Vote!!  and this is what we came up with...

I got it quilted - and of course... the Girls - they just have to be everywhere. Daisy ( left) has decided that she is my protector dog. We had lots of people over for the holidays and they were all new to her, so she sat on my feet, or behind my legs, or anywhere she could be touching me. It was sweet - so I have renamed her Velcro haha!!

Everyone is gone and she is getting a little less protective, maybe I am her security blanket and she has renamed me !!

it is FINISHED OR NOT FRIDAY!!! Whoot Whoot

Link up your direct post for this week - and lets celebrate everyones week!!

  3. What a pretty quilt. For some reason the pattern reminds me of seeing a bunch of those fancy drones that make displays lifting off from the ground - lol! Daisy is a good girl to protect her Mama.
I hope to get a post up this weekend to link with you!

  4. The last photo of Daisy (aka Velcro) is adorable. Great quilt finish.

  5. That's a gorgeous quilt, Alycia! I love how the stars pop out from the JR 18 blocks. Those girls look like such sweeties - and of course, they love you best!

  8. I'd call this quilt 4th of July as it reminds me of fireworks bursting in the sky in big shows and then sparkling down. Congratulations on the finish! I think I'm back into the normal routine, but boy am I still sleepy in the mornings. I can't wait for it to start being lighter earlier in the morning again (and later into the evening....)!

    1. Me too, Yvonne. It’s still so dark when my wrist alarm vibrates, that I just want to hit snooze and go back to sleep. 😴

  11. My first thought was the same as others - Stars and Bars. Very pretty! Those are a couple of happy dogs!!

  12. I thought of Field of Stars as the bars remind me of the landscape when looking out an airplane when flying. I also thought of Fireworks because those stars seem to twirl and explode. I'm sure you will find an awesome name and others have similar thoughts as mine! Or maybe I have similar thoughts to theirs? LOL

  13. I first thought "Stars & Stripes", but you may have already used that. I like the suggestion of "Stars & Bars" too. Thanks for the chance to participate in the party.

  14. What a lovely quilt! I have been eyeing those pinwheel blocks for a few days now- they are in a magazine I have. Might have to consider another new start. UGH! I should stop!

  20. Whoot whoot for real! Terrific quilt whatever you call it! My sister has a cat named Velcro, it's a very good name for a lovey furry friend.

  21. I love how the red bar blocks (more noticeable with them) are all on an angle, slowly moving from left to right, like a wave. My first thought was "She's proudly waving", referring to your flag, of course. I really like how it turned out. Great job!
I've also noticed that in most pictures (any post), Daisy looks at you like her life depends on it. I believe you are her security blanket. Enjoy the sunshine. We have rain here. ;^)
