Spinning Stars!!

No matter what block we decided this was..... ( I googled it finally.... lemoyne star)
It is TOPPED!!

Yay!!
Now I am searching for a backing...
( not really, I just didn't want you to think I was lazy.... I know right where it is)

Here it is!!

Each block is all 5 inch squares made into half squares
4 Reds, 4 Blues and 8 Whites.

Its a great leader/Ender project!!

and just in case you wondered why I didn't find my backing and get it all prepped RIGHT AWAY

This happened
11 VietNam Veterans awarded their Quilts of Valor

11 Awesome hugs

It was a great time

and... They were so awesome
and surprised

Many Thanks to those who helped us pull it off!

The Lemoyne Star quilt looks great and how awesome to have 11 quilts gifted. :)

Nothing like having a finished top AND a backing to go with it! I've recently checked my finished tops that are awaiting quilting --- most didn't have a backing yet. Bummer. Must do a little shopping then. Nice to see folks wrapped in a hug while getting their quilts.

Your Lemoyne star quilt is awesome! I love how you mixed different prints in the same colors. And -- ME, judge YOU for not getting your quilt all prepped for quilting immediately?! Hahahaha! My projects move at glacier speed, which is to say that nothing seems to be moving at all but every 10,000 years I might finish something! ;-)

I'm working on these blocks too. Love the scrappy. Maybe I can get rid of some of my smaller pieces;) Thanks for more inspiration. Carlie
