December QOV Show

Happy December.... I know ... it's been a few days of December - but this is the first Quilt of Valor show in December - so I wanted to wish you a Happy one!!!

And in December Judy L's QOV Challenge comes to an end. I am so excited to see who will win, and how much fabric they can add to their stash!!!

On to Today's Quilts!!

Sister Sue S is another one of my idols!!! She is called Sister Sue, because I have adopted her, and am sure that My Mother would love to have her in the family too.... but it's really because I want to be in her family!! She has a bazillion sisters and THEY.ALL. QUILT.  Seriously - is that cool???

I don't know where Sue gets all this energy - but she brought 6 completed Quilts to our sew day. 4 of them completely hers - start to finish.....

I see so many possibilities with these blocks. I believe they are 2 1/2 inch strips. She says she just cuts them, stacks and sews.....

These two were blocks put together y Mary Jane. She passed away and her husband graciously donated her stash.... Sue put these two tops together and quilted them.

I showed you this quilt being loved on Here - 3rd soldier down  - That M&M guy was popular!!!

Drumroll Please..... this is Adele's 12th of 12 QOV's for 2012!!! Whoo Hoo - Go Adele!!!
I love it!!!

A little bit ago I showed you a quilt very similar to this one..... by Sally T. Can you believe she made another one? I am SO very impressed!!

THis is the backing of Sally's Quilt
It is from Vicki Welsh
Totally appropriate and beautiful!!

This patriotic beauty came from Lynn at http://alamosaquilter.blogspot.com/ - It turned out great! She used the Double Slice Layer Cake Tutorial!!!

This Lovely Lovely QOV comes from Norece - it is her TENTH Quilt in the  12 for 12 challenge... and I know I have another one...... Good job Norece!!

Beautiful Beautiful Quilts Quilters!!! I love them all !!  Hope you found a few to inspire you!

I am glad to be inside this morning..... my kids got me these cute jammies that are Capri length... being the lazy person that I am, I roll out of bed, get into my coveralls and coat and go do chores. With these shorter jammies, there is nothing to tuck into my boots. Which was no big deal, until half way thru feeding.... I couldn't figure out why a small portion of my legs were cold.

I guess I will either have to be unlazy and put jeans on, or wear longer jammies in the winter *sigh*  . Such a conundrum......

Lovely, wonderful quilts one and all. What true inspiration. You could wear long socks with your capri jammies. I remember how cold those winters are out there. Brrr

Thanks for the show. It's such a gloomy morning that these really cheered things up. I know their new owners will love them.

I've been wondering - aren't qov supposed to be red white and blue? I've seen a few in your shows that aren't at all.
