The Sue E. Quilt of Valor Show

These Quilts of Valor were all made and pieced by Sue E in Arizona! This woman has no end of her talents!! She is amazing!! One time I sent her a lowly box of scraps and a few month laters - 3 Quilts of Valor arrived..... And she used ALL the scraps!! Someday I will be like her....

I love them all - they are so pretty and soothing!!!

And look at this back!!! ( it is the backing of the one above!) No piece unused!!!

I have an accuquilt go cutter - and I have this Tumbler die
After seeing this one - I need to get busier!!!

Seriously - is this not cool???? That red really stands out - it is so amazing!!

Sue - thank you for these great quilts!!
And thanks a lot for adding to my bucket list!!!
I will now be 208 before I get them all done

All are wonderful; however, I truly like the crumb-pieced one. Very nice layout and color combo.

I love your commitment to the Quilts of Valor. I finished a T-shirt quilt for the guardian of a fallen soldier. We live in a small East TN town and this young man is our hometown hero. He was 21 yr. old CPL. Frankie Watson. This quilt has a special meaning to Lowell Russell who raised him from age 12. Besides burying his son he also was involved in a serious accident. He was a TN State Trooper and his patrol car was hit from behind sending him into a concrete median. Lowell's car burst into flames. It so happen an EMT ambulance and 2 police cars were in area and they got Lowell out of the car. He is still in rehab and will not be able to return to his job he loved so much. So my quilt "A Tribute to a Hometown Hero" is now with Lowell. For complete story and pic of quilt check out my blog. http://www.backporchextras.blogspot.com/

Thanks everyone. I'm glad you like the quilts. There are actually 2 different crumb quilts here. The border fabrics are a little different on each one. I have just completed my 13th QOV for this year - all that is left to do is finish the binding, make some labels and then 4 more quilts will be on their way to Alycia! I love making these quilts.

What an inspiration. I just started with the group and picked up my first quilted quilt yesterday. I did the binding last night and will take to my guild Sat.I used part of a set of blocks that I won in a BOM drawing a few years ago. Have 8 more blocks to use. Hope to get more people interested. I sew in S. California.
