Still Kicking

Wrangler Man dragged me kicking and screaming  (okay coughing) to the Urgent Care on Tuesday.  I really don't get sick, so I didn't think this was necessary... I mean I get the little colds and coughs - but not sick... EVER.   Apparently this time I was wrong ... I have Pneumonia.  And I don't like it.

For all of you who have ever been sick - I am sorry. I really Really am......

So there has been no sewing around here, no fabric acquisitions, no fun! - although today I do have the computer on.... hmmm.. I could do some damage!!!!

I am surprised at how things have come to a screeching halt, and I have had to say No... oh boy - I am so not good with that word!!!

Wrangler Man brought me home a great bunch of Quilting Books!! I guess he figures that if he can keep me down looking at quilting I won't be such a pain....  They are fun! I am getting great ideas......

Follow the doctor's orders, but try to get outside on nice afternoons. Somehow the sunshine always seems to make me feel a little better even if it is from a chair. Hurry and get well, but I know from experience that pneumonia has its own schedule.

So glad to hear you are getting a little better. Have had pnemonia and it seems to take its own sweet time to get better. Do what you're told, take your rx, rest and yes chicken soup does help make you feel better. Miss you, but this is about you getting well again.

ooooh poor baby, I feel for you, I hate it when I don't have the energy to do what I want, rest is the best so make yourself sleep it off and get well, there will be another day to run around doing all the good you have in you to do. bless you cw

You are so lucky to have someone to take care of you when you get sick. Rest and let everyone else dote on you for a change. Enjoy the time to dream of all the quilts you will make when you do finally feel better. Resting time is so very short. Enjoy it while you can.

I'm glad Wranger Man dragged you to the Urgent Care. Pneumonia isn't something to play around with. Listen to the doctor and your body. REST, DRINK PLENTY OF FLUIDS, and don't do anything to exert yourself - NO CHORES (that is what the boys are for - right?) Oh yeah, as others have said eat chicken soup - as my grandmother used to say - Jewish Penicillin is the best medicine.

I'm glad you're on the mend.....this will take a while, so don't even try to push it faster than it wants to go. Remember, rest heals the body, along with plenty of fluids and some good food....gotta do it all to get your body back where you want it to be!

Good on Wrangler Man for hauling you to the doctor... pneumonia is not something to mess with. Rest, rest, rest... take your meds and rest some more. Do not expect to be 100% over night! The recovery process with pneumonia will be slower than you'd like. The sewing/quilting and fabrics will be ready when you are...

Sorry you're sick. I've had pneumonia a couple times and it really knocks you for a loop. Take advantage and make everyone wait on you, cook for you, bring you drinks and snacks while you enjoy your quilting books.

Pneumonia really seems to be making the rounds. My hubby had it in late October/early November and was hospitalized for 5 days. Then my daughter (6 yrs old) came down with it at the end of January/beginning of February .... and several others in our town have battled it recently too. Wondering if the milder winter weather has something to do with the prevalence of it? Anyway, get well soon!

Wow! Good for Wrangler Man for hauling you in....normally it is us wives hauling the hubby in (however, my Hunter would probably be right there having to haul me in, LOL!)

Between medicine and quilting books, I am glad you are now on the road to feeling better!

Wrangler Man is a keeper! Enjoy the spoiling and get plenty of rest. Good thing he brought in the quilting books. It is hard being an obedient patient. Hugs!
