From Vicki H in Ohio

Vicki H sent me this quilt to add to our growing list of Quilts of Valor. I have to tell you - I LOVE it!!
~
I love how the red and cream make stripes - I think they are actually half square Triangles. What a lot of work!!
~
I am in a Heartstrings group and we are always looking at neat string quilts. While this is not a string quilt - wouldn't it be a great way to use our strings? I think I could maybe figure this out - I know Mary ( our fearless leader) could.
~
Now click on the picture and make it bigger and then look at the binding - It matches the borders!! Vicki is quite the quilter!!
~
Hope you all have a great evening. 2 of my 3 kids had the day off , and we inherited another. We played all day until we had to go to the basketball game of the older boys ( both mine and the older brother of the inherited child) . Now we are recuperating!

I really like this one! It could easily be done with red and white/tan strips.

This is very cute and would make a great string quilt. Do you know if it's a published pattern? Maybe you could ask Vicki if she minds if I work up a version for the HeartStrings members.

Actually, Alycia, it looks like HST all put together to form the strip-effect. Beautiful quilt!!

You've received a lot of wonderful quilts for the QOV project, some patriotic, some not. However, this quilt is just SO PERFECT it should become your official project mascot quilt. It so perfectly sums up the QOV project - WAY TO GO VICKI!!!
